Letter of congratulations from David Laws MP!

We are proud to have received a letter of congratulations from David Laws MP, in recognition of our continuously improving results in terms of progress and attainment for our disadvantaged children.  This would not have been possible without the hard work and support from all of our staff, governors and parents, we thank you for that.

Each year the Department for Education produces a report about every school in the country which includes reviewing the results in national tests (RAISEonline). Below is a summary of some of the data.

Accountability for 2019/2020 national curriculum assessments

In March 2020, the Secretary of State for Education announced that the 2019/20 national curriculum assessments would not take place due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The following assessments were cancelled:

  • end of key stage 1 and key stage 2 assessments (including tests and teacher assessment)
  • phonics screening check
  • multiplication tables check
  • science sampling tests
  • all statutory trialling

The department recognises this creates a gap in KS1 and KS2 attainment data for year 2 and year 6 pupils in 2020 and future progress measures that rely on that data will also be missing.

As there were no formal assessments in the 2019/20 academic year, schools are unable to publish data under this heading.

KS2 School Level Data 2021/2022

The government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
